OmniluxTM LED Light Therapy

Elysium offers two forms of OmniluxTM.
Red light (revive) at 633nanometers has been proven to stimulate cellular mechanisms responsible for tissue repair and regeneration.
Blue light at 415nanometers has been specifically developed to target the naturally occurring photosensitiser, Coproporphyrin III found in P. acnes bacteria. It creates an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial response.
OmniluxTM was developed after 12 years of extensive medical research. OmniluxTM systems ensure that the right light dose is always delivered to the tissue, the right wavelength is always used to successfully activate the target cells and the right intensity is always used to prevent inefficient tissue response.
Dr Glen Calderhead is a specialist on light therapy. He hails OmniluxTM light treatments as a highly effective and beneficial treatment for anyone suffering skin stress, particularly those with photoageing or acne. "The biggest advantage is low levels of light, in a non-thermal and totally damage-free manner," he says. "This is achieved by targeting the reparative cells, and by increasing beneficial substances - in particular our own antioxidants produced by the reparitive cells. Light at special wavelengths or colours selectively activates these cells."

Q&A
How long do the results last? The results are cumulative and ongoing.
How much does it cost? One session at elysium will cost around $120 for a 30 minute treatment. You also have the option to purchase 4 or 9 sessions at a discounted price. $120 is the cost of a standard facial with multiple added benefits when you include OmniluxTM.
What if I still love a traditional facial? Then the Medispa Facial is for you. It is $180 for 45 minutes and includes all the benefits of OmniluxTM light therapy to rejuvenate your skin at a deep cellular level, an alpha beta peel to refresh the skin's surface and also includes relaxing scalp massage and reflex foot massage. Pure bliss!
Does it hurt? Not at all. At first the light seems rather bright, but once your eyes adjust, the entire experience is very relaxing.
Is it safe for my 15 year old son's acne? Absolutely! This would be a perfect solution for a teenage troubled skin. There is no pain, needles or medication involved and they can even have a treatment and return to school/work as there is no or little redness in the skin after this treatment.

After completion of a thorough skin consultation with your elysium therapist you will discuss your concerns, and together come up with the best combination of treatments to suit your skin type, considering all aspects of your lifestyle including your budget.
